OS 5 is facing problem with updating after been updated to iOS 5, iPhone is stuck in recovery mode (Apple logo & black screen repeat repeatedly).

You can reset it in normal way of how when the iPhone crashes or locks up that prevents the iPhone from responding to being turned off for the steps follow this link,

To resolve the "stuck in recovery mode" I had to take the iPhone 4 to an Apple Store and have a genius fix it.  They did.  I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it then connected the iPhone to restore.  It worked.

My iphone 4 is stuck in recovery mode and asking me to restore.  Does this mean i will lose all my photos and contacts?  Is there any way to save them?  I do have icloud set up but, not sure where to find them on there either.

    Thanks for help!

If you have set up your phone to back up to iCloud then you can restore your photos and contacts after restoring from Recovery mode. Alternatively, if you have enabled Photo Stream your photos will be there. And if you sync contacts with iCloud you can sync them back from iCloud.

If you have done any of these - not set up iCloud sync, not enabled Photo Stream and not set up iCloud contact sync then I hope you sync regularly with your computer.

Thank God,I just found out a way to get my iphone 4 back to normal from recovery mode. For those whose iphone 4 is stuck in the (Apple logo & black screen repeat repeatedly). I dont know if it works on any iphone like 3g but try it. Try this method, You Dont Have To Download Any Programs or Software. Do this on the computer that you had a backup all your stuff or if you didn't backup your stuff at all then your iphone will have to be restore (meaning you will lose all your contacts, photos, apps, and etc). But if you dont care about those things and just want your normal iphone back then follow these steps. Luckily, my iphone was backup on January 20 so my stuff is still there. Anyway, all I did was this, I had my old version of Itunes on my computer so I remove the old Itunes from Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. Then, I go to Apple website and find Itunes, and I download the new version of Itunes to my computer. Let it install and everything, then after its done, I plug the iphone charger to my iphone and the computer then I click restore. After I waited for an hour or more I got my iphone back to normal! Try it and let me know how it goes. Hope it work for you guys. I was really happy when my iphone went back to normal, and I want to share with you guys the good things. God is good   Shalom
