Keylock Icon
Any idea how come there is a small keylock icon on the top right hand corner of my Iphone??

I though it might be that one. It's the vertical screen lock, it serves the same function as the switch on the side of the iPad. When it's enabled your iPhone won't switch views when you change its position.
To toggle it on & off, double click the home button and flick from your left to your right, you should see the arrow icon as well as your iPod controls & orange icon. Tap on it to turn it on and off as you like.
