How do I turn shuffle OFF?

I'm new to the ipad 2 and new to iTunes. Please forgive me if this is a stupid question.

How do I turn shuffle OFF on the iPad? The iPod doesn't appear to have a settings option, although there are a few settings available in the overall iPad settings.

I have made playlists on my iPad and they sync well to my PC, but I don't listen on my PC. I've looked all over iTunes to see if there is a setting and can't find it either.

Can someone help? I'm listening to audio lessons and it's tiresome that I have to go back and find the chapter I'm listening to (I'm reading in eBooks at the same time)

While in the iPod app itself - If you are in the main menu view - where it shows all of your songs or playlists - tap on the album cover art or the generic note cover art in the lower left corner of the app while the song is playing. When the cover art enlarges on the screen - tap the cover art and iPod controls pop up. The intertwined curved arrows toward the top right is the control for shuffle.

The instructions above are for when the album art is enlarged on the screen already - when you first tap on a song to play it - it goes to that enlarged cover art screen.
