After uploading 233 photos to an iPad, can I copy them in bulk to a secondary backup (memory stick, icloud, etc) in their original resolution? The goal is to use only an iPad, eliminating the need for a laptop, while on location.
The ipad is not a storage/backup device.
The pic sync is one way - computer to ipad.
Don't know if the release of icloud will change this. We will have to see when it is released.
You can download photos FROM your camera TO the iPad effectively making the iPad a backup device in the field. I want to then copy photos FROM my iPad to a memory stick, icloud, or ...? I don't have a computer, laptop, ... in the field.

This is going in the right direction to solve my problem. Any chance icloud is going to be a solution as a backup for photos on an iPad?
This is good news. One more requirement: I shoot in RAW format (Nikon). Will icloud stream this format to other devices? I accept that Apple/icloud will not recognize/display photos in RAW. However, if I shoot in RAW+jpg (2 distinct files of the same image), will icloud stream both to my desktop?
Good question, i guess we will have to wait until it is released to get an idea on that
