I have 10.5.8. I bought the new numeric keyboard. and F7-F12 are dead. I downloaded Spark, but can't find a shortcut script to use. I only want volume. Can anyone help? Do I have to upgrade?

The $49 keyboard with numpad says it requires 10.6.8 which is a little odd but that's the factual answer. As far as controlling volume you can do that through the icon on the taskbar at the top of the screen but to get the keys working it may need the upgrade. have you checked your settings and made sure the function keys are set to be the modified keys and not the F keys?
I think the KB issue is quite silly on Apple's part, but...
I think Spark cured this for another person and the same problem...
