HI there, I've been reading your threads and advice on these topics, but still need some more clarification... I have an early 2011 13" macbookpro that was shipped with Snow Leopard (I have the disks), it is currently running Mavericks. I am passing this computer on to someone else and wish to clear the hard drive. I have copied all necessary files of mine onto an external hard drive, so all is ready to go.
Everything I've read seems not to apply directly to my situation - quite often instructions show how to go from Lion back to Snow Leopard. I hope that you wouldn't mind giving me some specific instructions, if that is possible - I'm not a noobie, but not overly confident in delving into the workings of my mac.
