Will Siri be available on the iPad 2 or just the iPhone 4S?

Nothing has been announced.
I meant the new iPad would have it over the 2 not over Siri....lol
The iPad 2 like the original iPad is missing important technology that is used by Siri that so far only the iPhone 4S has. We do not know if that tech is built into the new iPad.
Siri will likely never come to the iPad 2 for this reason, nor the iPhone 4.
When does Apple ever disclose information. There are hundreds of rumors that normally come out true. Of all the rumors i read about "the new iPad" the only thing that wasn't on it was Siri (dictation kind of replaces the need for Siri in writing) and wireless technology. Every other rumor turned out to be true. I apologize for my rude behavior. I will delete all of my previous posts as it.
I tried to delete them but they woudn't delete. Ignore everything I said.

We did. 😎
I got my new iPad 2 a couple days ago, shortly after the 3 came out! I refuse to pay $500 for a tablet, it is an absurd price, $350 however is more acceptable. On to Siri, it has interested me since Apple announced it, i saw a comment in here saying that the new iPad doesn't even have it, so us iPad 2 users are out of luck. We can always hope it will come with a software or iOS update, but I don't think that is likely. It's a shame though.
I absolutely agree. I am new the Apple world---a very recent convert. I am willing to pay for the Siri software, but I do NOT want to pay for a hardware upgrade so soon. I hope I do not regret my decision to leave the windows world. What appealed to me was the possibilty that the more expensive hardware would not need to be replaced as often to keep reasonable pace with the latest software offerings. I echo: ''come on Apple", stop focussing so much on dollars and keep the computer revolution moving forward! You will make plenty of profits by offering a better long term value to your customers. Let your superior products make your profits and NOT your corporate greed. Offer us Siri on the IPAD2. --Thxs
Apple doesn't read this. Calling them greedy won't help either.
Not sure if was mentioned anywhere on this thread yet, but the new iPad (3rd generation) does at least have the dictation function. You can enable via Settings > General > Keyboard > Dictation (which should give a 'microphone' key to the left of the spacebar on the keyboard).
Not full Siri, but sure beats typing.
No not even when it updates to ios 6
Even though the ipad mini has the same processor it has siri but ipad 2 caned why? it is just silly they have the same specs
Because the Mini has hardware based voice recognition/noise reduction that the iPad 2 does not have.
I have the iPad 2 but Siri isn't showing up. I went to settings>general but there was no place for Siri-it doesn't make sense
Siri is NOT available on the iPad 2.
