I asked the guy who worked at AT&T the same question. He said that some will fit and some won't. The camera cutout on the 4S is slightly larger than on the 4, so if your case has a really small camera hole, and there isn't much space between the edge of the camera and the edge of the cutout hole, it might not fit. If you have some room inbetween, you should be fine.

The difference in standby time is interesting, but not that crucial. Since the phone's circuit board was reconfigured for the new chipsets, it is possible the battery is a little smaller in the 4S than in the 4. Between 200 hours and 300 hours of standby time, this matters only to people like my 80-something mother who might wait a week before her phone rings, but most of us charge the phone at least once a day (overnight, while at work, etc).

Of greater significance is the more efficient cellular radio in the 4S (compared to the 4) which projects another hour in cellular talk time over a 3G network. The extra hour of 3G talk time is of maximum importance to those who are out in the field most of the day (such as traveling), and that is a huge improvement over the 4's specs.

I had to use a scissors to pry off and then cut the Seidio SURFACEcase from my new 4S iPhone. It was impossible to remove otherwise. Do not buy this case for the new 4S. I think it is too tight - the clip that connects the upper and lower parts of the case cannot be disengaged.

Seidio did agree to take back the cut case; I am now trying to get them to pay for return shipping.

Note all the complaints ONLINE about this case and the problems removing it from the iPhone 4S. I should have checked it out before my purchase.

I have the Otterbox Impact case for the Iphone 4 on my 4s. So far it is great

-I have not noticed any heat build up. I usualy remove the case when I charge the phone as a precaution

-Cameras works fine with the camera hole cutouts and the screen protector

-Case easy to remove and put back on

-Not bulky and provides a nice grip.

-All buttons work fine and speakers work fine

I noticed that the iphone 4s case they make has a bigger cut out around the ear/camera area. only difference between the 4 and 4s Impact case I could see in the photos

Overall I have no complaints (about the case) after two weeks
