Siri on iPhone 4??

Will Siri also be available for iPhone 4? I heard that, Siri will only be available for the 4S. 😟

On the contrary, there IS Siri Assistant, which I downloaded to my iPhone 4 a year ago, and use regularly. It doesn't give you audio feedback, but is incredibly helpful. I'm not sure why Apple is killing it...it's a great advertisement for the voice recognition/artificial intelligence features that are much expanded on the 4S. When I asked it, "Why are you going away?", it replied--"That's just the way I am." ;->

Please don't eliminate the app, Apple!

The app no longer exists. Apple bought the company so they could bundle siri with their iOS and their hardware. Once Apple owned the company and it's intellectual property, the app disappeared from the app store. If you want siri now, you have to buy an iPhone 4S.

Note too, that when Apple acquired siri last year, that also ended all development of the Blackberry and Android versions of the software. Which of course is exactly why they bought it. Some people may not like it, but it was a very smart business acquistion by Apple, IMO.

I have an iPhone 4 and am happy with the phone but frustrated with Apple. My brother has a Nexus S and all of the Siri voice features have been available on android for over a year. I think it is very telling that Apple even copied the mirophone icon they use for Siri from Google. Google has been supporting voice control for a while and I think that this is a tell-tale sign of who is the current market leader. Come on, Apple! Make us think you are the best again! Support your 'old' devices and make them all the best they can be.

Siri was actually available for the Iphone 4 via the App store. However, apple pulled it. A friend stated apple bought the company that made Siri and the program and revamped it. Then packaged it with the 4s. So long story short. Its been monopolized for the 4s, because they couldn't sell more phones based on the better processor alone considering ios5 works with the 4 and anyone would get it. So why upgrade.?

Sorry apple, but this is going to send me to droid next upgrade time. Droid already has these features and you are considerably behind the curb. Also considering they have a free turn by turn direction gps that works great and is preloaded.

Imagine if Xbox and Playstation did this everytime they launched the smaller consoles with better processors and energy effieciency. Making only certain things exclusive... Doesn't make sense.

Update iTunes to 10.5 then download/install the iPhone v5 update.

Then press the "Home" button and SIRI should pop up in the iPhone 4!

Unfortunately, mine's in GERMAN! There's NO way of changing the language or tweaking SIRI! 😠

No matter what I said, the language won't change and it kept on making phone calls!

Won't be using this feature until it's fixed!
