Steve's life was cut short but he sure did accomplish a lot in the time he had. He was a true modern day renaissance man.

    God speed Steve.

One of the rather chilling things is that in his commencement speech at Stanford University in 2005, he said in regard to his cancer surgery:

"This was the closest I've been to facing death, and I hope it's the closest I get for a few more decades."

So sad that it turned out to not be the case.

Thanks Steve, your spirit is still with us - this evening I was able to help a homeless man find his way to a  shelter by using my iPad to give him directions. Two strangers sitting on a bus with one ingenius devise. Quite remarkable.

A big hole has been ripped in my heart.  Steve Jobs' vision has been a part of my life since the 80's when Apple began donating IIe computers to California schools.  His vision will go on but his presence will be sorely missed. My prayers go out to all of the Apple family but especially to Steve's wife and children.

Rest in peace Steve. You have been my rebel hero. The world looses a true visionary and genius. My sympathy for all your friends and family.

The tributes have all been incredible. It's heartwarming to see the statements of grief, love, and support to the legend of Steve Jobs.

Not sure if you've seen this, but a group is putting together a film tribute. Anyone can contribute to it, so if you have any memories to share this may be a good way to do it...

I just want to pass on my best wishes to the Apple family. Steve Jobs made my life and the life of others immeasurably better. A true visionary. He inspired me for past twenty years and improved my quality of fun and adventure far more than any other entenpeneur.  Thank you Steve for enriching my iLife.

    Just one more thing...
