Import button right in front of video window in iMovie HD 6? WHY?

Why on earth did Apple decide to move the Import button from underneath the video window in iMovie 5 to RIGHT SMACK IN FRONT OF THE VIDEO WINDOW in iMovie 6, so that it blocks your view of the video that is playing behind it?

I use iMovie like a poor man's Tivo. I watch TV with it and record shows. Putting the Import button right in front of the video you're trying to watch begs the question WHY DID THEY DO THAT??

Is there any other software that someone can recommend for my purposes of watching TV on my Mac? Because iMovie 6 has made that pretty much impossible. I do not have an eyeTV, I have a what's called a "Pyro A/V Link" and it did not come with any software whatsoever. I am not willing to buy a new piece of hardware just to watch TV and record shows. iMovie should handle this fine, and it would if they would move that **** Import button back to where it belongs.

Marked as solved but the question above sill remains unanswered. I find it a bit annoying to have the import button floating RIGHT SMACK IN FRONT OF THE VIDEO WINDOW.
