What happened to the old JamPack 1?

JP1's contents have not been rolled into any other product, and at the moment it's still available from the Apple Store as well as Amazon (and likely other places as well)

Note: The new packaging for the Jam Packs do not have a number associated with them any longer...they are simply:

GarageBand Jam Pack: Remix Tools
GarageBand Jam Pack: Rhythm Section
GarageBand Jam Pack: Symphony Orchestra
GarageBand Jam Pack: World Music

The first Jam Pack was simply released as GarageBand Jam Pack. It is still available, we just haven't seen it in new packaging as of yet. It is listed in the Apple Store as GarageBand Jam Pack 1, even though the packaging itself has no number on it.

Interestingly, in other countries’ Apple stores it is not available, so I guess their just selling their stock.

Any help you can provide in locating Apple's listing of JP1 would be appreciated. (I've looked several times with no success). Was about to order it when all the changes came down. Anh.

Use the search box at the Apple Store online and enter "jam pack" (w/o quotes) and it comes up.

I think people are thinking it was included because its no longer listed as for sale at the Apple store.

However it appears you are right. I did a clean install of Garageband 3 while my Jam Pack 1 folder was moved elsewhere and renamed, and the Garageband installer did not put any of those loops on my hard drive.

For those wanting to check, the first loop listed in the Jam Pack 1 folder is "12 String Dream 01.aif" - so you can see if you have it anywhere.

Oops, I mispoke. My bad! JamPack 1 is NOT a part of GB3. I guess JP1 has entered the memory hole.
