Extra line on the speaker for the White Iphone 4S? What does it mean?

I think what you're seeing is the proximity sensor.

i have the white iPHONE 4. the blck space above the earpiece houses the proximity sensor and the ambient light sensor.

It's the proximity sensor and it's the same as on the black... you can just see it better on the white.
