iPhone 4S price before and after Nov. 25th?

Why is the price such a big difference in only a month? I entered in my eligibilty info and it returned shocking prices. I have owned all iPhones since the begining and usually the early adapters get the better price earlier. This is odd.

Yes, the subsidized price for that model was $299 with a 2-year contract. Generally the subsidy is paid pack and your are eligible for an upgrade at roughly 18 months into the contract. The full price of your iPhone would have been $699, if you purchased after June of this year it would have been $749 if you wanted it unlocked.

i understood i was signing a two year contract but your answer isn't relevant to my question. I purchased the iPhone June 24, 2011 and I get a discount after November 25th which is actually only 17 months and not 18 so I'm still confused. I'm going to call AT&T tomorrow and ask them about this and why I can't use my phone at a college football game. lol

Some iPhone 4 costumers are actually eligible to receive a full discount so they only need to pay $199 for a 16gb , $299 for a 32gb and 64 gb for $399 because they pay their bill on time and have been loyal costumers for years. And many other factor that can effect your eligablilty.

IF that is the case, then ATT has "upped" the "loyal customer qualification" for the new phone. I was able to buy my 3GS and my IP4 after only a term of around 1 year for each of these phones. I was under the impression that to be considered a loyal or good customer, the monthly service bill had to average just over $100 AND no late monthly payments.

So far on the latest upgrade, these qualifications no longer apply (I would qualify for both of them if they did still apply.) Instead, I'm into my 2nd year on my IP4 and the 18 month period will be up on Nov 26th at which time I will then transfer into the "promised land" once again.

This time ATT is holding me to the 18 month free upgrade period. I have another friend in the same boat. Perhaps with the expanded sales base, there just isn't enough phones to go around for the so-called good customers. Also, with the nearly 18 month life of the IP4, that may have had something to do with ATT not lifting the upgrade restriction this time.

Unless there is some SUPER qualification this time, it would appear that everyone who bought the IP4 in the first week or 2 will be locked out of the 4S until mid November unless they want to pay the $250 extra fee and most of the preorders will be from either new customers or 3G/3GS customers.
