Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
My iphone went flat a few days ago and didn't charge it for a while. It has now set the date time to some years ago and doesn't want to set it to the current date either through a sync on iTunes or by connection to my carrier.
Any ideas what can cause this?

Did ypou try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data doing a reset.
Try going to settings>general>date & time and changing it to set manually, change the time, set the correct time, then change it back to automatic.
