Digital copy of Transformers Dark of the Moon err -3259

I purchased the Blue Rey combo disk of Transformers: Dark of the Moon and when I go and try to download my Digital Copy of it I keep getting the Error code -3259 and a pop up box stating: There was a problem downloading, the connection timed out. This is very strange so I purchased another movie and a few songs and downloaded all of that content just fine without a problem, so I know I don't have any problems with my computer or my network. Has anyone else had this problem?

I am having a similar problem with my digital copy of Transformers: DOTM that I received from the Bluray combo pack. I have half of the digital copy downloaded (1.34gb out of 2.24gb), but when the download reaches the end, it gives me an error (either code 9006 or -50), and then reverts the download status back to 1.34gb. I'm really not sure what is going on, as I've downloaded other digital copies from other movies through iTunes recently with no issues.

Update:

I got the movie to download at work (i.e. a much faster internet connection) One thing to keep in mind is that this digital copy is being downloaded, whereas there are some that are being copied from a supplied disc. I never made this connection until now. So the problem may well be that your internet connection is too slow to handle the download.

Transformers released in the UK last week and I too had problems downloading the digital copy that came with my blu ray, and today the same problem with the latest Harry Potter.

All other triple play blu rays I have bought have had the digital copy on one of the discs, but these two have to be downloaded via the itunes store. The Transformers reached 164 Mb and failed with error 50, got it going again and it reached 1.54 Gb of 2.24 Gb, then error 50 and went back to only being 134 Mb downloaded. Harry Potter has reached 1.20 Gb and error 50 occured - and it has taken 10 hours to reach that!

My broadband is capped at 5 Gb and above that usage I pay per Gb, the Transformers download actually used 3.2 Gb of that 5 Gb, and the Harry Potter has virtually used the rest so instead of being free with my blu ray, they have both cost me around £10 and my data downloads will be slowed down till the end of the month. (My BB is linked to my work so it is difficult for me to move to an unlimited download provider).

Anyone any idea why this is happening? Once I have managed to download I will complain to Apple as it is the iTunes download that is failing, but it is a bit daft that WB make you download rather than put the film on a disc. And their help page is no use as you have to input the name of the film - and guess what, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 doesn't seem to exist, even though they have probably sold millions of copies since Friday.

Hey,

I have been having the same issues .3259 error network connection timed out. I know that it isn't my internet or computer problems. I have downloaded probably 30 or 35 digital copies with no problems in the past. I have been having this issue for months, since this came out on dvd/blu/digital copy. I have the 3 pack and I originally thought there was something wrong with the code. I got a new code and just now tried it out. Same issue, err= .3259 network connection timed out. I emailed paramount digital support and was told that it was an itunes issue, get a hold of them. I also tried the windows version, it too fails. I have tried all the firewall tricks and everything else that people suggest. Nothing works. Digital copy downloads have all worked in the past, but now they dont. At least this one doesn't. Apple told me all the firewall tricks and steps to take, but they have been tried and nothing else seems to work. Anybody know how to get this working?

Thanks,

Don

I went into the downloads folder in iTunes and deleted everything, and started again, once I did that the download worked. Have to say I've also had some problems downloading bought films with extras from the iTunes store. The extras download but remain in the download folder. I can play the videos but cannot link them in iTunes to the film, yet I've several other films bought in the past where this has not been a problem. All happened since ios 5 - I've an ongoing report with iTunes about the extras and mentioned to them about the Transformers and Harry Potter. They are investigating but I've not really had much response so far.

Usually with downloads from iTunes you can pause them and come back to them a day later and start from the same point but it is as if that is not always working any more.
