Average CPU temperature? (Macbook Pro)

This pretty much can apply to anyone who has owned any of the few previous models (mid 2009-later).

What are the average temperatures that the Macbook Pros should run at during use of Safari with about 5 tabs open, (forums, articles, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) or a couple with YouTube videos open.

Right now, using iStat Pro, I'm running at 115ºF to 125ºF or about 46ºC to 52ºC on the mid-2011 Macbook Pro (2.3 GHz Intel Core i5), the computer is about a day old or so, which is why I'm just wondering at the moment, I'm used to these temperatures, but on an iMac, which has 3 fans in total, while this has 1 fan, is a laptop, and surrounded by metal to heat up.

What can I expect the temperatures to be while doing Pro applications, such as Final Cut, After Effects, or Photoshop?

Thanks!

I Have 2011 MacBook Pro 13inch . I was having the screen freeze after a night of playing videos in loop connected to my hd tv using thunderbolt. After the first one it happened a few more time after playing any video for a few minutes. Screen freeze with little pixelated boxes, yellow or blue. After some research I reset SMC and seems sit of fixed it. I am not running SMC FAN AND Temperature Monitor apps and my fans run about 2000 all the time. When I get hit it speeds up but not to much, seems on point. Except when I play hd videos the system get gets to 75-80c . I still have not had the freeze but that's because I have temperature monitor to launch SMC fan set at max fan speed when it get a to 80 d

egrees C. I'm wondering if anyone knows the safe temp the 2011 MacBook Pro should be running at When playing hd video. I know it gets hotter when playing hd video by without SMC it seems my fans don't kick on to max speed untill the MacBook reached about 85-90c. Once the fans max it cools it right away. I know the fans are working cause I hear them but should the fans kick on faster before it gets to that hot if a temp. And is it safe to play hd movies of its running at about 80-85c?
