How can I quit safari after actualization?

After an actualization, my Macbook air can't shut down because it is not possible to quit safari, the option is not available. I have to restart the system to make the actualization work. How can i do it?

I try to do a Software actualization / update, but as soon as it seems to be ready, a window pops out and sais: The Safari aplication dind't let the computer restart, to try it again, quit Safari and restart. The problem is that I can't quit safari! the option is not available and it isn't working as it shoud be, and by that i mean that I can't close the new tabs I oppen.
