phone numbers on my HTC old sim to new iPhone, phone numbers on my HTC old sim to new iPhone

Hi i have got a lot of phone numbers on my HTC Desire Sim Card, i would like to EASILY transfer them to my NEW iPhone4S when it arrives, can somebody guide me gently through the process of getting it done, please.

I havent had an iPhone before, so please be gentle LOL, if it cant be done please tell me THANKS.

My Phone service provider (Tesco) are very kindly sending me a new blank Micro Sim card so i will be ready when my new toy arrives, i can then painlessly transfer my Phone Number, but it is simply my current phone book i dont really want to type them all in again !!!!!!

You can either have Tesco copy the contacts from your current SIM to a CD or thumb drive, then add them to Mac Address Book, or cut down the HTC SIM, temporarily put it in the iPhone, and use the built in Transfer Contacts from SIM function in iPhone settings. You can find instructions on the Internet for cutting down the SIM.

You can also buy an inexpensive SIM reader that plugs into a USB slot and copy the contacts off it yourself.

bloomin heck mate, you wont believe it, but browsing around other similar posts on here, i found out exactly that, nice one buddy.

So if i cut my original card to size correctly i wont need to fit the new Micro Sim card at all !!!, then i wont need to transfer my phone number to the new card either. I assume i would be able to use the new micro sim card as a pattern !. YEAH

Do you think this might cause any problems, using my cut down Sim Card, afterall there might be some information on it that might clash !!.

I shall ALSO have a look for a USB SIM READER hhhmmmmm !.

What i did do eventually, ready for when i do get my new phone, i got a kind of a stamping machine that looks a bit like a Stapler, but it is a kind of a press. It also gives you a couple of adapters that you can put the Micro Sim card in to make into a normal size Sim Card !.
