Q: movies folder as default

In the "movies' menu on Front Row displays movies from iTunes and then has the option to enter the Movies folder. Is there a way to change this, so that I get my movies from my movies folder all coming up in that movies menu, instead of the itunes videos? And the same thing with the TV shows menu (I have a TV shows folder in my home directory that contains all of my episodes), can I make that the default TV shows directory?

Also, is there a support article that shows what formats Front Row can support (video and audio)? Can it use the plugins that Quicktime can to support extra formats?

Thanks.

To answer your second question first: Front Row can play anything that Quicktime can play, so Yes about plug-ins!

I know of no way to change the preferences in Front Row (the most recent version of which wants movies to be in iTunes) but you could of course place aliases of the movies in your Movies folder.

What do you mean by "place aliases of the movies in your Movies folder". Can iTunes accept aliases instead of the original files? How do I do that?

Also, I have had trouble in the past with iTunes not accepting many of my movie files (formats), even ones that work fine in QuickTime. Why is this?

    Thanks.

    No, I meant vice versa.
