So will AT&T iPhone 4 cases fit the new iPhone 4S? I know the design is the same but I thought if it matched the Verizon iPhone 4 instead then my AT&T cases wouldn't work. Does anyone know?
Yes almost all iPhone 4 cases will fit the 4s
Incorrect. I had an Otterbox Defender on my iPhone 4 and was planning on using it on my 4s, BUT the mute switch is slightly lower on 4s. It fits fine, but the switch is wedged and inoperable. Still trying to find a good rugged case with a belt clip/holster for the 4s. So, keep that in mind when buying or ordering yourself an iPhone 4 case hoping it will fit the 4s.
Agree that the 4S mute switch is slightly lower so the window in a Ciderz bumper does not quite match up. Still can reach and use the switch, which is partially covered but that's ok. The volume buttons match up though as well as all of the other openings.
It depends on the case.
The volume buttons are slightly shifted also.
I had a scosche case with kickstand, iPhone 4s doesn't fit-depresses volume own button.
Otterbox commuter case fits fine.
