iTunes Movie re-download

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; only apps, books (not audiobooks), music, and t.v. shows (not movies).

I've not used iTunes for movies so I may be wrong, but can't you just copy the file off your laptop and re-authorize it on your other computer?

I too would like to know this. With a major device launch so close you and an major overhaul to iOS you would think this would be fixed if you could redownload so you wouldn't be sweating bullets when pressing to buy again.

I have an iPad, MBP, iPod 4G (looking to sell to FINALLY get a sprint iPhone 4S) and a windows 7 pc and they are all under my account and I am actually the only user but due to various reasons I do not sync them all up every week with the same computers (I don't have time, hr drive to work and hr back each day).

Looks like I can't redownload my previous TV show purchases as I am in the UK. Gutted about that.

So I took a chance and tried to buy a movie I just purchased on my iPad, on my iPod. on my iPod it appeared as if I had never bought the movie so I went through the steps to buy once again hoping it would say it was previously purchased and ask if I want to download again. That did not happen. After clicking buy it will ask for a password then it will say you have previously purchased this movie and asks if you want to PURCHASE it again. Boo!

On a side note you can now re-download music and tv shows via the purchase history in the itunes app but movies is not yet an option unfortunately.

For the time being it seems we'll have to continue syncing through our computers until Apple gets the liscensing or servers to handle this (I blame the studios), as iCloud sync won't sync vids either.
