accidentally deleted address bar on my safari web browser. How do I get it back? Under the view tab it is no long an option and even under customize toolbar options, not there.

1. I accidentally deleted address bar by selected the 'x' option on the smaller right hand Google search bar.

2. Once this search bar was gone, so was the address bar ( have no idea why 😟)

3. Tried going to the view tab, however, no option for hide or show address bar

4. Tried going to customizing toolbar... no icon for address bar to be dragged down to add to toolbar.

Does anyone have suggestions? I even re-downlaoded a new version of Safari and re-booted my mac.

Just redownloading won't do the job in Lion.

Use Lion Recovery to reinstall Safari.

Please enable guest logins and log in as Guest. Launch Safari and test. Same problem?

After testing, log out of the guest account and disable it if you wish.

i just had this problem, you only need to go to the customize tool bar option, when the options pop-up drag them from the list of options on the the ACTUAL tool bar in safari. hope this helps

Your help was invaluable. I accidentally deleted the address box a half-hour before a web conference call. I followed your very easy instructions and,

voila', there it was.
