HELP!!! "Pairing Request" from Phone Users?
Hi. I have a Macbook Pro.
1. While brewing the net, I suddenly got a box that popped up asking me for a
"pairing request" from a user: Nokia 608. I clicked no and closed the window.
2. Minutes later, I got another one from "Barbarella". I clicked no again.
3. Then I went into my bluetooth panel and the discoverable button was on.
4. I clicked it OFF. But when I clicked "Browse Device" under the bluetooth icon, not only my wireless mouse shows up, but both of these users are STILL LISTED IN THIS PANEL!! Both show up as "mobile phone". I don't know how to delete this.
5. Now I'm really worried because now I don't know if someone is trying to use their phone to hack my computer or what. Does any one know why they would still be listed in my "Select Bluetooth Device"? I don't know either of these people and the idea that someone could use their device to ask to connect to my bluetooth thru my laptop is very troubling to me.
Is this something I should be concerned about? If I rejected both requests why would they still show up in the Browse Device panel?
