How can I use my EasyCap USB video capturing device with iMovie?

I just recently changed from using Windows computers to a Mac for the first time, which has been very interesting so far, given my minimal knowledge on how to use one, but I'm catching up though! However, one such thing I'm having a problem with is connecting my VHS machine to the computer via USB.

I have an EasyCap device, which I used on my Windows computer. My question is can it be used with iMovie? I think the device came with a disc, but I have to look for it. Plus I'm not entirely sure (yet) if it'll be compatible with a Mac computer. Is there a way of doing it through what's already installed?
