Synching borrowed iPad and then synching back

My iPad is dead. 😢 Won’t charge. Tried everything posted on these boards, and nothing has resolved my problem, and it is just two weeks past its 12 month warranty. Oh glory be.

Bear with me, this is my crazy question:

My husband has an iPad that he doesn’t use much and has graciously said I can use his until I can get a new one. 😍 Can I synch his iPad to my itunes to get my programs and such on it (I assume it will delete his stuff). Then, when I get my new iPad, can I re-synch his iPad BACK to his itunes and it is his again?

Will that work? The reason I can’t get a new one right away or get it fixed right away is I live in the Caribbean where no store is insight. Will be back stateside in December. Don’t want to do anything until I know he can get his resynched back to his itunes and vice versa.

Can you tell I am addicted to my iPad?

Thanks.
