Q: Why is it that on every Mac I've ever owned Quicktime cannot play a video without it lagging every 5 seconds???

Seriously, I've used Macs for 2 decades and if theres one persistent problem it's quicktime playback. Not matter how big or small the video, it can never play a video with consistent lagging. Same videos play flawlessly in VLC.
