I want to merge my contacts on my iphone with outlook, previously my contacts were deleted on iphone. I tried under edit / preferences/devices, but nothing there that shows "merge contacts". I have tried info/outlook contacts, but then my contacts dissapeared. What do I need to do?

First, make sure Outlook has at least one unique entry. Then, with your phone connected, iTunes running, right-click your phone in the left device pane & select "Reset Warnings". Then, on the Info Pane, select sync contacts & sync all with Outlook. Hit the apply/sync button. You should get a popup asking to merge or replace your contacts, select merge.
I have done that and the only pop-up says: " syncing with Pierre will change more than 25% of your contacts on this computor" No merge popup
Hit OK.
