itunes 10.5 does not install

I am also getting this problem but i thought it may just have somthing to do with my laptop

try changing the download location to your desktop instead of Program Files folder for vista users. it worked for me:D

I was having the same issue. Heres what I did:

1. Uninstalled itunes. (dont worry this does not delete your music or media)

2. restart

3. if install doesnt work, go to control panel > Uninstall program > left click on Apple Update Software so that it's highlighted > Click on Repair at the top.

4. Wait until the process is complete and then try reinstalling. Worked for me after that.

The old Apple Update Software must not be communicating very well with the new itunes software.

Restart Computer;
