Can anyone recommend a program to check the health of a SSD in OS X?? I tried looking for one that is comparable to SSDLife (which only works on Windows) but I seem to be drawing a blank.

What is it you need to know about the SSD?
Just general info on how well the SSD is holding up. First time owner of SSD here so just wanted to keep an eye out on performance degradation (if any) and the rate of its health degradation.
Is this an Apple installed or third-party SSD? If the former that's all taken care of within OS X. If it's a new third-party SSD using the Sandy Bridge controller, then it's handled as well. You should not see any noticeable degradation for a long time. I wouldn't worry about it.
Its a 3rd party SSD and its not a using the Sandy Bridge controller. It's actually the OCZ Solid 3 and from what I read, you are either really satisfied with the SSD or you get a lemon. So I just want to verify that the SSD is in fact in good health and not degrading like crazy.
There is no TRIM support for the drive, so if you notice a degradation in performance the only real solution is to reformat the drive using the Zero Data option which writes zeroes to every byte on the drive. This will take care of the data degradation that occurs without TRIM support, but at the cost of adding a complete use cycle to the entire drive. However, you will likely buy a new machine long before the drive becomes unusable.

Check out DriveDx: http://binaryfruit.com/drivedx . It displays SSD Lifetime Left indicator, overall health rating, performance rating and many other useful information about your SSD. Nice UI.
