Do not buy movies thinking it will be in the clouds, it's misleading, your movies can disappear.

Apple is only lying to us with their partner movie industry. I bought lots of movies, to then loose them because they were pulled from the iTunes Store. People if you decide to buy make sure you have a hard drive where you can download, as you can see, there is no movie in the iCloud.

Of course you have always been responsible for backing up your own personal data. Apple tells you so in the TOS you agree to when you sign up for an iTunes Store account.

Really? Then what about this advertising,

Your past purchases. Available on all your devices.

Now you can download music, movies, and TV shows you’ve previously purchased to all your devices. When you buy from iTunes, iCloud stores your purchase history. So you can see what you’ve bought — no matter which device you bought it on. You can access your purchase history from the iTunes Store on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, PC, or Apple TV. Since you already own the songs, albums, movies, or TV shows in your purchase history, you can tap to download them to any of your devices.1 And whenever you play a movie, TV episode, podcast, iTunes U lesson, or audiobook on one device, all your other devices will automatically remember where you left off. Just sign in to the iTunes Store with your Apple ID.

What they don't tell you ( in this advertising) is that the reserve the right to remove it or change it. So as I said, I lost movies and now I can't get then back neither a refund, wait until one of yours purchased movies is taken away.

Apple doesn't own the copyrights to any of the entertainment content they sell. They are just the retailer. If the copyright owner decides they no longer what their product available on the iTunes Store then it will no longer be available. There's not a lot Apple can do about that. What it also says, at the bottom of the page in the fine print is:

Previous purchases may be unavailable if they are no longer in the iTunes Store...

So backup your purchases. I backup all my purchases to local storage and do not depend on a third party to keep my data safe. It is your responsiblity.

You are not getting my point, Apple has made a big deal about the cloud and the end of PCs, what about, people that have no hard drives, people that only have IOS devices, the people that bought into the new idea of the future, (no downloading necessary for back up purposes), all you need is an iPad or your iPhone, again, I am just reminding everyone, it is not true, just like you said, you need a backup, the end of PCs and the cloud era, in not yet fully here.

So before you buy into it, and you loose hundreds of $s, be aware, you will need a backup system.
