iPhone 4S UK Delivery

Has anyone who pre-ordered in the UK had their iPhone shipped yet? I ordered mine at about 10am(GMT+1) and it still says:

Processing Items: Dispatched: Ships by Oct 14th.

I was hoping to get it on Friday, maybe not now. Lol.

Hi all,

Same situation where my credit limit is reduced for the amount that the phone cost - so that is positive.

On a slightly more negative note, I've just spoken to Apple directly as I was worried about the phone being delivered to my work over the weekend (office is closed)

They said that the phone is being shipped from overseas, and hasn't been dispatched yet. As it is coming from overseas, it will take 5-6 days usually

Also, they don't deliver over weekends. So, my office delivery problem is sorted but it looks very unlikely that I'll be getting this by friday as my order still says "shipped by 14th October"

A bit annoying actually because if I had known that I wouldn't get it on the 14th, I may have tried my luck at an Apple Store on the highstreet!

Hi all,

My experience with Apple's shipping is that it only takes a couple of days to arrive from China. I ordered an iPad 2 and the delivery estimate reduced by quite a few days, and it took a lot less time to reach me than I originally expected.

Perhaps we might still get ours by Friday, though with the comments on other threads, this looks unlikely.

Still can't get how the Germans got theirs today, when I ordered mine before 10.00am last Friday. I'd have ordered it much earlier, but the website was 'undergoing maintenance' and I couldn't get through on the phone as there was a fault.

I can't realistically see that the UK stores WON'T have stock for Friday, or just think of the adverse publicity that Apple would receive! As far as those, like us, who have ordered online, well, we're money in the bank for Apple and it won't really matter if our deliveries are late - the queues outside the stores is what they want to see and what they want others to see. The hundreds of thousands of people who have handed over their hard-earned money EARLY so they can get their hands on the latest iteration of their product as close as possible to when it's launched, aren't really going to make the headlines on Saturday morning.

You never know. It could be that our phones are on their way, and Apple are keeping the shipping and delivery information secret to give us a lovely surprise on Friday!

I really don't have the time or inclination to travel to Manchester (my nearest store) and queue up for who knows how long, just to get my hands on one on the launch day. However, I assumed (shouldn't have done so!) that by preordering a couple of hours after the shop opened, that I would have received mine on the 14th. It seems that I'm going to have to be patient.

Just seen your edit. So at least you would expect that those of us who ordered on the first pre-order day, should receive them early next week, like other posters have indicated.
