Remove bookmark from home screen

Hi there,

I've added a couple of web links bookmarks to my ipad homescreen via the add bookmark button on the safari browser.

I'd like to delete them. Ordinarily, I just hold untl they wiggle and delete the icon as with iphone by touching the 'x'.

The icons will wiggle but for some reason no 'x' appears in the top corner. I've also tried selecting and deleting in iTunes but the icons behave like the apple icons ie. no 'x' appears. I've tried a reset with both buttons and have even restored the ipad to rule out any other issue. Current software updated.

Any advice appreciated, cant wait for ios5!
