Monitor shimmers after sleep

I have a brand new Power Mac. I'm using a 27-inch Cinema Display with it, which I was using with my previous computer. Sometimes when the computer goes to sleep, when it wakes up the monitor "shimmers". It's fuzzy and shakes back and forth slightly.

Has anyone else had this problem? What would cause it?
