"Find My Mac" not available after Lion Recovery Update and 10.7.2 Update

I just installed the Lion Recovery Update and the 10.7.2 update onto my 2011 17" MacBook Pro. After signing into iCloud through System Preferences, the "Find My Mac" option is greyed out and says "Recovery system update required" and has an update button next to it that opens the Software Update manager. When Software Update is opened it does not give me the option to install (or re-install) the Lion Recovery update issued today.

I'm not sure how to proceed. Any ideas on how to solve this issue?

Same issue here on a 2010 Macbook Air 11". I used the combo update of 10.7.2 off the website and manually installed and still have the problem. Also saw that the Recovery System Update installed through Software Update.

Does anyone else here have FileVault full disk encryption enabled? I have a sneaking suspicion this has something to do with it.

Peggy - I also redownloaded and ran the update that you have linked to. That did not solve the problem. This is the third time I have run that update. (By "manually" I did, in fact, mean that I downloaded it outside of the Software Update manager and ran the update.)

Gresmi - I do not have FileVault full disk encryption enabled and I am experiencing the same problem as you.

I'm also having the problem on my late 2010 Macbook Air. (no disk encryption here)

I also manually installed the recovery partition update, and verified that I have and can boot into the recovery partition.

Did anybody try manually installing the 10.7.2 client combo update to see if that fixes the problem?

FWIW, I'm not having the problem on my mini server, running 10.7.2 server.

Run Disk Utility, and Verify Disk.

You will likely notice errors that require you to reboot to the Recovery Partition, and run Disk Utility from there, to "Repair Disk".

After running Repair Disk, reboot to the main partition, and run Repair Permissions from Disk Utility.

Then install the Recovery System Update again.

I bet your problem will be solved.
