@me.com mail not pushing to iPhone
Anyone else having trouble with push not working on the iphone with a @me email address?

You have to keep the mail app open/running for it to bring in your mail for your icloud email. This needs to be fixed.
Same problem here. Emails to iCloud (transfered .mac/mobileMe account) are not pushing to iPhone 3GS and iPad 1 at the moment. Both run iOS5.
That better gets fixed soon. I'm relying on push email and that was always the main reason why I paid for mobileMe.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. I'm also glad to know that this seems to be a push issue versus a speed issue which is what I thought. I always liked that as soon as an email was sent to me it was immediately on my phone through my .me account. I hope they quickly fix this so I once again get instant emails.
Same problem here 😢
Reboot the iOS device and it should work. I tried that this morning and I'm all good now.
I am having this problem as well.
Resterting the iPhone/iPad does not resolve the issue. Even doing a force power off so when it turns back on it does a file system check does not fix it.
This really needs to be fixed and fast as there is no way to say turn off push and go to manual with iCloud and still do push on other accounts. As there are no settings specifically for iCloud pertaining to how mail is fetched.
Connectivity is not the issue as far as I can tell. I had 4AM e-mails come in when I was at home with working WiFi and full bar 3G.
Hardware/Software:
iPhone 4 / iOS5
iPad 1 / iOS5
The reboot indeed helped on my iPhone 3Gs (iOS5) but didn't help on the iPad 1 (iOS5).
Nope already restarted multiple times, still no joy.
If you leave the mail application open and running in the background it seems to help.
I tried this and it wasn't working either. Some of my emails were being pushed yesterday, but now they aren't today.
This is really annoying and needs to be fixed soon.
I called Apple support this morning she told me it was because everything was backed up. I told her that mine hasn't worked ever and she didn't seem to care. So I played around with it all morning and got mine working. What I did was opened another @me account and added it to my phone. Once I did that I started getting push messages with the app open and closed for the @me account that I wanted. Don't get it but hey it works until someone gets this fixed.
So I deleted my account from my iphone and then added it back.
Now it won't download any emails. This is really annoying.
So I just let it go and now it's pushing emails and working fine.
To sum up. I switched the accounts to fetch. Rebooted. Switched to push. Rebooted. Deleted Account. Rebooted. Added account. Rebooted. Let it go.
Works now.
Me too. My Microsoft Hotmail account can push emails to my iPhone, but my first-party Apple email address won't? That seems a little silly to me... I've had to set it to fetch every thirty minutes to even get my emails at all. Frustrating.
please do the following test:
(1) close all apps in the background
(2) restart your iOS 5 device
(3) send an e-mail from another client
(4) waiting for push mail
--> it should work at this time (there is no mail.app in the background)
(5) now open the mail.app on your iOS 5 device, and send it to the background
(6) send an e-mail from another client again
(7) waiting for push mail
--> it works (with the mail.app in the background)
(8) now close the mail.app completely (kill the app from running in the background)
(9) send an e-mail from another client again
(7) waiting for push mail
--> it doesn't work
It seems to me, that killing the mail.app from the background in iOS 5 the process which receives the pushed e-mails is also killed.
