iOS 5 iphone internal error
I am getting an error message that my iphone cannot be synced with ios 5 due to an internal error. I have tried resetting it then wiped it and still getting the message.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I have this problem as well...
Me as well - not using a jail break either.
One of my errors, along with the internal error I get now repeatedly, was -48. Instructions there are to remove the .ipsw file from iTunes, but I can't find instructions for where that file is and a search on my Mac yields no results. Does anyone know where that .ipsw file lives?
I experienced a similar issue.
My theory is the servers are having a hard time handling all the new updates/restores people are undergoing currently to upgrade to iOS5. After continually trying, I eventually got through and upgraded.
My advice is to wait patiently until the server load is less intense. (Or continue trying like I did, and evetually get through)

I have the same problem.
if you’re in the Finder, hold down Option (Alt) and hit the “Go” menu in the menubar. As long as you’re holding down the Option key, the Library will appear in the list of locations in the drop-down. Select it and a Finder window will open up on your Library folder. Then look in itunes and iphone sw folder.
It did not fix it for me!
I'm having the same problem. I hope someone (Apple?) figures out what is going on and how to fix it. I tried the "solutions" suggested when you click "more info," but those did nothing.
@Werikz, I don't think demand has anything to do with it. The update was downloaded, it just won't install.
thanks the reply.I guess I'll wait it out. I got my iPad updated on the first try.
I got through, and then it crapped out on me part way through. Can't get back in and phone is in an usable state now. 😟
