Just installed iOS 5 on my iPad 2 and have been playing around with the reminders app and have no location reminder options. Is this feature not available for iPads?

iPhone and iPad iOS 5 User Guides are now available on iTunes as iBooks. The iPhone guide says location based reminders are available only on iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, and the iPad guide doesn't mention them at all as far as I can see. Sorry.

Likewise I am unable to get location reminder on my iPad 2 + 3G to display. Pitty, it would have been sweet!
There's no help from my post, but still I have the same problem with my iPad2.
Just wanted to mention that my friend who has an old iPhone 3GS - has this function.
Looks strange really.
Hope after all the complaints, we'll get this function by the next revision of iOS 5.

This is really annoying, Apple!!! My iPad has a sim card and GPS... why exclude location aware reminders???
By the way, am I the only one suffering from a flickering notification overlay?

Location-based reminders available on iPhone 4 or later:
Typical Apple...they decide what we need, and we just accept it... Same story over and over.
same in ipad (1G)... very very very disappointed and I don't understand why!! Hope in the next version of ios5 they will give us this function..

Still I can't get the idea of plugging it into iPhones and avoiding in iPads.
I have an iPhone and an iPad. But the concept of iCloud is lost since I can't create a location based reminder on my iPad to remind me on my iPhone! More specifically, my wife can't create the iPad reminder.

I wonder if the windows iCloud control panel lets you create one?
Strange enough, I've got 2 iPhone 4 phones, on the other the Reminder location is enabled, but on the other not. I cannot find any setting that would change this and enable the location reminder in the other pone, Both phones are synced with the same Mac. The only diffrence I see is that the one phone lactkng the location reminder is also connected to an Exchange mail server . Don't know if this has any relvance here !
