error 43 while upgrading to iOS 5?

After my phone is finished backing up for iOS 5, I get an error 43. I know it means folder not found, but I don't know how to fix it. Does anyone know how i can?

This might help fond it on another board...

"I think it may have something to do with saving SHSH blobs and forgetting to reset the activation server back to Apple's?"

I found a way so solve the problem :O
what i did :

i downloaded tinyUmbrella again, because ive used that before to downgrade.
so why shouldnt it help this time?
and it did!
first, close itunes!
if you start tinyumbrella,
you will see your ipod / iphone / ipad on the left side.
select your device, and press on "Advanced" in the bottom part of the window.
now, REMOVE the cross at " Set Hosts to Cydia on Exit"
if you close tinyumbrella now,
and open itunes again you SHOULD be able to restore your device!
at least it just worked perfectly fine for me 🙂
hope this will help some ppl!

I had the same error message on both my home and remote computer. All my software, drivers, firewall settings are up-to-date. I just plugged in my iPad and the update went flawlessly on my home computer. Unfortunately, my iPhone 4 still gets the error message when updateng. My iPhone is not more than a month old and has not been jailbroken. Not sure what to do.

My home workstation is Windows 7 64bit and my remote is Windows 7 32 bit.

P.S. I followed all of Apple's suggestions when you clicked on the "more information" button.

I have the sampe problem with my 3Gs. I am running Vista Ultimate 64 and everytime I try to update I get the error (-43). I'm dissapointed that there is virtually no information on what this error is besides the numerous people who are having the same problem.

I've even tried installing itunes twice to see if it would help. It doesn't.

=(

I restored my phone to original setting. (backed up before I did this)

It then installed iOS 5 automatically, and then I got the option to set up as a new phone or use last back up...so didn't lose anything.

worked like a charm, so good luck!

p.s

this worked when i got the (-43) error, but am not sure it will solve any other errors, an d most importantly

BACK UP! before doing this 😉

This worked for me aswell.. I did a manual backup by right clicking on the iPhone in iTunes and selecting backup. Then when I got the error I told it to coutinue by erasing the phone and it restored and updated the phone and everything worked perfect. It only took me three hours of trying to fix it to give up and tell it to erase the phone 🙂..
