I have a mac mini running 10.5.8
I would like to update the software on my itunes-
currently it is 10.1.1
i have the startup discs for my mac mini but am having problems resetiing the login and password.
any suggestions on how to do this?
also, will i be able to run ios 5 from myitunes given that my computer is somewhat dated?

Are you following the steps in this Apple note: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1274 ... about half way down it steps out what needs to be done to reset the admin password.
yes. Have tried this. I put in the mac os x install disc and go to the reset password section.
A box pops up asking me for the new password...i fiil it in and press save, but my computer says it is not able to save it.
any suggestions>
