All comments are immediately vetted by an apple guy and put in three categories.
1) contain uninformative personal abuse
2) contain only information already in the thread
3) comments that add to the discussion
Have an option to only have type 3) posts sent to your email!!

Dec 19, 2011 4:17 PM in response to Chelli Chelliby emanuelfromnull,no offense but this is incorrect. Multiple ways to delete the photos from photostream:
1. you can directly save them to camera roll and then delete them
2. connect the ios device to the cpu and remove them from the file location.
3. depending on the sw version you are running you may be able to hit the
square on the photo and it will give you the option to delete.

Dec 19, 2011 4:37 PM in response to Chelli Chelliby Veluto,if you have read, Steve's Jobs's Book.... you would think!! How many time would Steve have said to the photo stream developers THIS IS A PIECE OF SH...T.... I can't undertands how did they let this product roll out!! You can tell Steve wasn't around as much as he should have. It's a shame becuase the concep is great but the implementation.. NOT GOOD enough.
U got to fix this ASAP..... Don't let Steve Down!!

Dec 20, 2011 4:07 PM in response to lucasc5by night republik,Photo stream was a great idea, honestly!
But just by the fact that you can't delete just a single picture makes it the most user unfriendly 'app' on the new iOS! ***** big time!
Sush a wast!

Dec 20, 2011 5:22 PM in response to night republikby JJR-1964,Right, I think Veluto's and Night Republik's responses are very good. iCloud in general is a fantastic idea. Apple in general makes remarkable products. Those of us who are annoyed are annoyed because it's a great idea with a very flawed implementation -- right out of the box -- and we expect more from Apple.
It's also annoying that when I come to the thread and then sign in I'm not returned to the page I last visited.
Great a big picture, lousy with details. -

Dec 23, 2011 12:53 AM in response to lucasc5by j.chan,This thread is the 1st result popped when I googled it, I didn't realize the problem until I thought of deleting some photos from the PS, now that I've read this, I do think it is a piece of ***. It *****, all right! I totally disabled this feature on all my devices now, until Apple fixes this, I will not use it. Apple, time to fix it.

Dec 23, 2011 2:02 AM in response to lucasc5by Lars W.,Dear Apple.
I have used my Photo Stream iPhone and iPad for documenting temporary job related topics, but now the project has been finished - and I don't need the pictures any longer = they are now crap mixed together with ok photos I would like to keep on both devices.
I have deleted all unvanted pictures in my photo stream folder on the PC - but they remains on both iPhone and iPad.
Please, Please - let me get rid of the unwanted pictures on my iPhone and iPad devices.
Thanks for beeing so responsive to user requests.

Dec 25, 2011 7:55 AM in response to lucasc5by random99999,Sorry I have not read this entire thread, but certainly enough to see the trend in dissatisfaction with PS. I am in complete agreement. I tried PS for the first time last night and got totally frustrated when I discovered I could not delete any photos.
If Apple wants a model for PS it should look at DropBox.
I think PS should be a gallery that shows up on all devices and is just there to be a "shared folder." If you want a photo in PS then COPY it into the PS gallery. If you want to delete one or more phots from the PS gallery then just select and delete like any other gallery. Just ask are you sure with an appropriate warning.
Very simple and very surprised that Apple F'd this up so bad.

Dec 27, 2011 3:39 AM in response to random99999by sungyle,The children came over for Christmas dinner. They ran around the house with my iPad taking many pictures of 1/2 a turkey leg, 1/2 a dog's tail, blur furniture, blur kids rolling on the floor, blur grandma, blur grandma and grandpa... you name it, they took it and they were all extremely happy and excited watching them on Apple TV laughing hysterically.
Now I have to go through the whole exercise of delete all and turn off PS.
My first laptop was my Apple IIc running BASIC apps I wrote (OK, I lied, mostly running Lode Runner).
I think most of those great programmers from our good old days are now retired and the kids who are taking over the Apple Software Department are all... oh, never mind, they are just like my grand children... I know these generation of children and I must love them they way they are, not the way I want them to be.
Happy New Year.
May Apple wake up and smell the coffee. May Apple find those moles from Microsoft and clean house. May 2012 not the end of the world for Apple.
