Hi,

Is iMessage not a part of iOS5 until some future update?

Cheers

I have the same question. I'm on a 3GS now running iOS5 and the message icon looks the same. But the app looks a little different than what the new iOS5 manual shows for "Messages."

How are we supposed to know if the person we want to text is using iOS5 (and vice versa)? I don't have a text plan and don't want to get dinged every time I send a message that won't be free.

No iMessage???
