iCloud Calendar Sharing
Has anyone figured out how to share an iCloud calendar yet? (The iCloud site talks about the benefits of being able to share a calendar with family and friends but I haven't found anyplace to do that yet.)

I had the weirdest issue while installing icloud and confguring it to share my outlook calendar to my iphone calendar. What it did was deleted everything from my outlook 2011 cal and moved it to ical. Now I have no idea how to change it back. Worst thing is that ical should be putting everything on icloud so i can view it on my iphone... but not.
Anyone got a step by step guide to sharing a calendar? All i see is "now hsow your calendar with friends and family." And nothing else!!
Same here.
Before the update iCal and Outlook 2011 sync'd with each other. Changing one calendar updated the other.
Now i'm getting that iCal (which was wiped now is up-to-date, was this cos of the cloud??) gets updated if I add an item in outlook calendar but when i add/amend anything in iCal, Oulook doesn't see it?
I dont even want to try and connect my iPhone into the mix in case i lose it all!
Having had to sort out all of my contacts, email and calendar i have sorted my earlier issue of outlook not talking to ical and syncing with my phone. My solution........
....I turned off iCloud on everything.
I'm now back to where I was which worked for me! Outlook (imap account, contacts and calendar) all syncing to my iPhone 4.
I might give iCloud a blast in the future but I'm gonna let the dust settle.
at www.iCloud.com
You sign in, click the calendar icon,
in the list of calendar's on the left
-> you should see a faint icon to the right of the calendar name.
click that,
type the email address of the user you want to share with,
and whether you let them just View or View and Edit.
Hope this helps!

That worked, thanks! (The shared calendar is really cool because it also allows the choice of getting an email confirmation every time somebody changes something...)
I had the same problem solved it by loging of icloud on the (safari) mac, went in in ical and shared from there finaly it worked and we ( my wife and me) can finaly see each other's calender again ( mac, iphone ,ipad and safari)
Cheers Ax3001.. that worked like a charm.. how on earth anyone would ever find that I do not know. Apple need to advertise their functionality better,
in iCal
right click (if enabled) or control click on the calendar to get the popup menu that includes the option to share as well as delete calendars
Does anyone know if you can share with non-apple users? I tried but the button on the notification email was inactive.
Thanks
Does anybody know how to sync Outlook Calendar 2010 onto Icloud. I have loaded icloud onto my pc and the mail portion works fine but i can not see my calander on icloud.com. When I go onto my outlook i can see my calander loaded but shaded. When i make changes to my calander on iPhone and iPad it updates my calander on exchange perfectly but can not be seen on icloud.com
Thanks
Hmm... that's not working for me. I created a calendar and shared it with my wife as read/write. When I create an appointment, she gets an email, but if she creates an appointment, I get no notification at all.
Have I missed a setting somewhere?
our guys, I can not figure this out. Using iCloud, iMac and an MacBook. All running the same version of Lion. All devices are logged into the same iCloud account. The calendars appear differently on the iMac. In the iMac I have a "Shared" section. In the Macbook and in iCloud I only have an "iCloud" section. Again, everything is identical. Anyone know why the "Shared" section was formed? I obviously shut off iCloud calendars in both the MacBook and iMac and turned them back one, to try to get them all the same. It did not work. The functionality is fine. My question only pertaines to the way the calendars are being displayed. Any ideas? Thanks.
It works up to point on my wife's IPad I, however it only shows an event as 'new event' rather than the name nor does show all the items I have in ICal under mobile me or I Cloud Calenders on my mac mini and my IPad 1. My wife's IPad is synced to her ppc Mac Book Pro so her IPad Settings doesn't have ICloud understandably. We had family membership under Mobile Me so I would have thought the Mobile Me calendars should have had all the events and dates. Both IPads have up to date IOS systems.
Any thoughts
Robert
Okay. So my friend and I are sharing a calendar. When either of us makes a change, the other receives an email notification of the change. Is there a way to just make it pop up on the screen (not through email). I mean like a regular notification that pops up. That would be so much better.
