Notification center is not working on my iPhone 4. I tried turning it on and off several time but it still does not work. The only notifications that do work are Weather, Stocks and Calendar. All other notifications are not working. Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this?

Go to Settings > Notifications > go to each applications and select the one you want to be in the notification center. Hope this helps
tried that several times already. Reinstalling iOS 5. Let's see if that helps.

same issue, I am just able to receive notifications for my mails on the lockscreen. all other notifications are not working... how to resolve it?
Didn't work for me even after reinstalling. Heading to the Apple store tomorrow to see if they can fix it..!!! 😟
have the same problem on my Ipad2 - the only thing showing up in Not.center is my calender, but adding more to the calender, and these entries do not show up - reminders do not show up either. And have have tried everything in terms of setup !?
I seem to be having the same problem as everyone else for my iTouch (4th gen). The only widgets that work in the Notification Centre are the Weather, Stocks and Mail. Aside from that, Twitter, Reminders, Calendar, Instagram or any other app widgets don't appear in the notification centre, even after enabling them in Settings. I have already restarted the iTouch many times, seeing if I missed out on any prompts but to no avail are there any improvements. Any help?
You have to manually set whether notifications appear for each app in the settings
Settings > Notifications > then choose a specific app
Have your verified this for each app you wanted the notification to appear?
It only half works for me too.
I have set the relevant apps to "View in Lock Screen" in Notification Center.
I can get some notifications via the Home Screen pull-down but nothing whatsoever will display on the Lock Screen. Getting really p...ed off with this.

Do you see the same Notification Center on the Lock Screen as in the Home Screen?

Apple: make sure you work on this stuff really fast, it's very anoing what you are doing here. I need the NotificationCenter on the LockScreen, with the Favorites contacts there too. Just learn from the jailbreak software, NOW !
I bet it's not a mistake, it's just the way Apple think it's better for me. They are so smart they know what's better for me all the time. Just plain WRONG !!!
I see nothing whatsoever on the lock screen.
It simply is NOT WORKING.
Its time Apple stopped denying there is a problem and started working on a fix!
Do a test. create an item in Reminder app, to appear like 5 minutes from now and select the other settings that you want. I tried it and was working for me. It appeard on the lock screen also.
I've got the same problem too.
Only Apps bundled within the IPSW (Messages, Mail and Reminders) work but everything else like Twitter , WhatsApp Messenger and instagram do nothing. It's really annoying me right now because I'd like to receive these notifications.
I've restored my iPhone 4 twice already and have had no luck. I've been through the settings countless times within Setting and the apps themselves, and still nothing.
Maybe your apps are not updated for iOS 5. Some of the comments here mentioned that some of their apps are ok but some not. I think it is because of the apps are not yet compatible with iOS 5.
Apps such as Twitter Inc. are supposed to work seeing as though Apple has intergrated it within the iOS. So no, the apps mentioned should work without fail.
