3.2 image rendering issues when cropping and straightening

Upgraded to 3.2 - all works well so far but have noticed that the top 1/3rd of image disappears during the cropping and straightening processes in the viewer window, but only with portrait/vertically oriented images. Anyone else have that issue?

Aperture 3, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Still on Snow Leopard here and I just tried this. Sorry to report it worked OK for me. I tried both straightening then cropping and then the reverse. No problems.

Does it happen on all portrait images? Could you post a screen shot of the results?

There wasa report of something similar a while back. Here's the thread:

After straightening/cropping 1/2 or 3/4 of displayed image is blacked out! Don;t know how that turned out.

I was having this same issue this morning during an editing session. I'm at work, and don't have Aperture in front of me, so this is not exact, however, I went to the "view" menu, and turned of what I believe is called "on screen proofing"? This immediately corrected the crop issue for me. I know that may not be a permanent solution, for those that leave that on, but it worked for me for now.

Disclaimer as I'm not in front of my machine: I THINK that was the menu option under view, but it may have been something similar. 🙂

This is on Lion, latest updates, and latest version on Aperture.

I also had same problem yesterday after upgrade, the top 1/3rd of image disappears during the cropping and straightening processes in the viewer window, but only with portrait/vertically oriented images.

I went to bed with Aperture running in the background. This morning the cropping problem has disapeared???

I have a minor problen that when i go to crop portrait/vertically oriented images the cropping frame is always landscape/horizontal and i have to go to crop box to force the frame to take the portrait/vertically position.

I did not make any changes to Aperture overnite. Not sure what happened but beach ball activity has reduced also. running SL 10.6.8
