Jun 10, 2012 4:06 PM in response to froobielooby clementac,My problem is a little different. I go to icloud.com, send in my username & password and it logs me in no problem. Then it goes to the next screen where I pick a time zone then all of a sudden it goes to a search page. I have the control panel on my computer but I can't log into the actual website. I go to the website on my iphone 4s and it says "install on this device" then takes me back to a page of instructions. I DON'T GET IT!!!!

Jul 12, 2012 12:31 AM in response to froobielooby Lucif3r,Hi There,
I'm getting an eror message when I try to sync the iCloud control panel with my outlook 2010(calendar and tasks)
The error I get is the following: "Your set up couldn't be started because the iCloud server stopped responding"
Could it be from the fact the my compnat uses a Websense / Proxy server client, do I need to make any modifications in the control panel to add that proxy, in order to connect to the internet?
Any help will be highly appreaciated.
PS: I also tried a couple of the solutions presented here, none worked.

Oct 4, 2012 9:05 AM in response to jimmyjameby Leonard57,This doesn't work...just loops back to the problem. The site wants you to log into iCloud after loading the software....however I get the same message. This is a valid Apple ID but not an iCloud account.

Oct 20, 2012 8:27 PM in response to froobielooby tigartale120,maybe it's a gimic to get pc users to go to apple. because mine doesn't work either but a pop up says, apple ID is valid but isn't icloud account. and all i can find is roundabout issues that get the same results. not signing in.

Oct 21, 2012 1:57 AM in response to froobielooby nancyrector,Well found my "fix". Bought a new PC. Gatweway Windows 7. (My old machine was Windows 7 also). iCloud worked like a charm with no issues at all. Which is pretty useless as far as any "help" goes I know.

Nov 11, 2012 3:10 AM in response to froobielooby TyroneBuchanan,Yeah, when I sign into iCloud Control Panel on a PC it says my name and password is not a valid account, but is a valid Apple ID. This is despite me creating an account in iTunes and giving my Visa Card details. Their service is useless. An iTunes account and Apple account are the same thing!
Surprise, surprise, Apple is just as **** useless as Microsoft.
Apple's website sends you round in circles. You have to find out how to create an account in a Google search. In this case it seems Google is the winner. Good on yah Google. You will prevail.

Nov 18, 2012 3:24 PM in response to froobielooby 24volt.dc,I am runing Windows Vista SP2 and I was having the same issue. "you cant sign in because of a server error" I downloaded Safari for windows and installed it. I checked the checkbox that wanted to make Safari my default browser and finished the install. I opened the iCloud control panel and signed in without any issues. I have been reading this thread on and off for several months trying to solve my issue. I do not remember who suggested installing Safari, but for me that was the long awaited answer! I hope this helps other users.

Dec 20, 2012 12:48 PM in response to Aviatrixfromvaby prince102671,HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why can't Apple un-F this problem???? It is affecting hundreds of their customers and they have not said a freaking word about it. I guess they don't give 2 shisters about all us common folk who keep their doors open. I have been a loyal MAC guy for 10+ years and a MobileMe/iCloud guy for 6+ yrs. The headaches with iClou are getting tooooo frequent and painful. Why the FFFF can't I log into the iCloud web app from an XP machine running IE8??????? I would like an answer from Apple, but since pigs are more likely to fly out of my ArSe, I would appreciate any feedback from someone who has the "ACTUAL" answer to this (and no.....Apple is "On It' does not count, because I know they are not.
