Oct 19, 2011 3:27 PM in response to cherylfromgainsboroughby a2bucks,This probably doesn't affect that many people, but the roadblock for me seems to have been an internet accountability and filtering software called CovenantEyes. They released an update today that allowed me to finally access the iCloud control panel. If you have any software like that, it could be the problem. Try updating it or uninstalling it.

Oct 19, 2011 3:29 PM in response to danielfromkönby singo79,You hit the nail on the head for me danielfromkon.
I did exactly what you suggested and logged in to the MobileMe control panel, straight away it started migration to the iCloud on my PC and then immediately after the iCloud control panel launched without issue!
Thanks heaps for that suggestion it worked a charm.

Oct 19, 2011 4:26 PM in response to froobielooby CamboCambo,I just logged my computer on as Administrator and tested and it worked. log back on as a user and same problem, I tried resetting the permissions on the folder and running, icloud.exe from the program files folder didnt work. Tried running it in compatibility mode for windows 7 and all variants of vista, didnt work. Tried running the application as administrator didnt work.
I am beginning to suspect that it is a profile or registry related issue.

Oct 20, 2011 10:01 PM in response to froobielooby szynda,Yes, I was able to overcome the iCloud PC endless spinnter by reinstalling the MobileMe App that I had previously uninstalled and the iCloud PC login and conversion process continued. Now I am reconciling why my devices are not synching to iCloude. My PC syncs to iCloud both ways. Argh!!!

Oct 21, 2011 2:33 AM in response to froobielooby Gumbogill,I am not a member of mobileme, but I did download the software on my home laptop. iCloud control panel works fine on my Work PC which incidentally does not have mobileme installed, so I thought maybe mobileme was the problem on my home laptop. So, I uninstalled both mobileme and ICloud and reinstalled iCloud but sitll it I can't login into iCloud CP. I am completely now out of ideas as I have tried everything. I got a senior Apple engineer calling me today to try and sort this out. Will keep you all informed.

Oct 21, 2011 6:53 AM in response to froobielooby pedroMD,I wish apple would sort this out! The rest of my icloud operations appear to work except the control panel. I just get a continous control wheel. Have tried all suggested fixes!

Oct 21, 2011 7:11 AM in response to froobielooby firemanli,I am another user affected by this issue.
When logging into iCloud from my laptop I recieve the message "You can't sign in becasue of a server error. iCloud status..."
Here is what I've tried and the information about my system
Windows 7 32bit
Current iTunes ver.
Never used Mobile Me
I've uninstalled/reinstalled.
I've turned off all firewalls and virus protection
I've tried on a two different networks (In case there was a firewall on one of them)
I've ran as administrator, and as not. (I am an adminstrator on my computer)
I've tested on another computer (with success!)
Since it worked on my home's desktop I know the issue is my laptop and some software on this laptop.
The desktop it worked on is running Vista, and may even be an older version of iTunes.
There must be some software that is blocking iCloud.
But what!?
