Does iCloud work with OS 10.6.8

You need to upgrade to 10.7.2.

WIth a windows machine I can download a plug-in ??? Apple = idiots sometimes. 10.6.8 needs to be supported and NOW

Since it only works with 10.7, that seems to imply that there will be no sync for pre 10.7 (calendar, addressbook, etc) available after July 2012. Is that right?

Does anyone know of any other way to sync between Macs?

Also, I guess that my iTouch, iPod, and iPad will not sync unless I install 10.7. Is there anyway to sync iTouch, etc without 10.7?

I have several macs at different levels from 10.4.11 up to 10.6.8, and right now I can sync them all together. I don't want to move 10.6 to 10.7 because I need Rosetta for some programs.

So, how come Apple has failed to make it clear that an upgrade to Lion is required? And why has it been working fine on 10.6.8? The misinformation on this has been shocking.

It all looks like a huge scam to relieve us of more money. I read on an Apple site that I could use Snow Leopard with iCloud, so I bought 10.6.8 and all went fine once I'd spent a day trying to download my mail from iCloud and discovering the answer from a kind user here [reset Password and strip out all extraneous stuff in ID profile]. Then I discovered I cannot install Lion on this machine, which is not the right kind of Duo. Now this 24-hour standstill in e-mail....This will cost my business.
