How to produce a good quality DVD from an iphoto slideshow?

Hi does anyone know how to produce a GOOD quality DVD from an iphoto slideshow. I have tried several ways, all successfully appart from the quality. The quality is not good compared to that which you see when you view it through iphoto. Someone mentioned that a TV screen resolution is different to that of a computer, which i appreciate but when I play the DVD I've made back on the PC, the quality is not as good as the version stored in iphoto. I think I read somewhere that it is the DVD's themselves, but can not remember where I read this. Does anyone know or have a solution?

Many thanks

You can capture anything on the screen using SnapZProX into a Quicktime format which you can do anything with after that, use iMovie HD and burn it to DVD with iDVD or other Burn DVd creating software, so it's just a matter of your pixel resolution of your Mac content matching a HDTV 1920 x 1080.

If your Mac doesn't have 1920 x 1080 or better pixel resolution or you can't fit the content into those 16:9 dimensions, even at higher pixel density (but not lower than 1920 x 1080), then you can't use that method.

The object is to record the content in 1920 x 1080, save the media as 1920 x 1080 16:9 dimensions, burn it as that and play it on a device with 1080i (or lower) screen resolution like 720p HDTV.

And yes the Standard Defintion TV of old looks like junk compared to the high res of a computer monitor.

Also your pictures need to be taken with high quality (high pixel amount) as well.

Sometimes a special setting on the camera needs to be done to capture high quality, it could be off because these pictures use more space and most people print 5 x10's, not wall posters.

The camera also has to be able to take pictures in high quality, 16 megapixel or better usually in high quality jpeg format.

Picures need to be cropped to 16: 9 with 1920 x 1080 or better pixels before going into iPhoto, then displayed on screen in 16: 9 dimensions at 1920 x 1080 for recording by SnapZProX, then you got it all matched and can convert the movie to DVD with Burn or other Quicktime to DVD format to play on HDTV

HDTV has 16:9 format. 16 inches across = 9 inches vertical, 32 inches across = 18 inches and so forth.

Even 8 inches across and 4.5 inches vertical is 16:9 too.

Lots to learn.
