Why does the buyer of a Newssstand subscription on IOS 5 not have the option of choosing or not choosing auto-renew?

In my opinion companies who do not give the consumer the option to choose auto-renew or not at the time of the purchase are only concerned in getting $ from unintended renewals. Some people like the convenience of auto-renew. It should be the consumer's choice. One has to hand it Microsoft on their xBox Live accounts. Micrososoft gives the user the option of auto renew or not. At least they are considering the consumer more than Apple. I for one see no value in Apple's Newstand as I use no service requiring auto renewals on my credit card. People who do so will face a nightmare should they lose their wallet or purse and have to get reissued credit cards.
